After establishing their quartet in Pontiac, Mich., Atavan, migrated to the warmer coast of Los Angeles, in late 2009 to begin work on their second album. Their first EP, “With the World Asleep,” put them on the map of up-and-coming artists. It landed the band on the Bands of the Future tour presented by Absolutepunk.net as well as many other national tours including the Vans Warped Tour which took the band throughout the country.

The year 2010 kicked off the beginning of a promising future for Atavan. Returning to MI to record their sophomore release with Bryan Beeler (Cinematic Sunrise/Chiodos) in February, they took their music to another level. Starting their next tour with a new CD, Atavan was a part of the Applicant Apparel 2010 Tour. The continuous success of Atavan is the perfect example of hard work and dedication. With their hearts always staying strong, Atavan appropriately named their second album “Perseverance.”

Within the few short months following the release of “Perseverance,” the band filmed a music video for their first single, toured the country, played as part of the Vans Warped Tour once again, and grew stronger than ever.
