Prime Social Group and MiEntertainment Group are excited to announce the return of their flagship event Breakaway Music Festival to Grand Rapids’ Belknap Park on August 23rd + 24th.

The 2019 lineup will play host to a huge variety of talent and will be headlined by rapper and hip-hop artist Wiz Khalifa. Wiz released his sixth studio album “Rolling Papers 2” in 2018 which went on to earn the number two spot on the Billboard 200 list and is recognized at his fifth top-ten album in the United States. Joining him will be veteran DJ and Producer, Kaskade, known for his new wave influences and uplifting, melodic productions that have helped shape the progressive house scene over the last decade.

Top-tier billing continues with Chicago-based electronic pop production duo, Louis the Child. The pair rose to popularity after releasing their single “It’s Strange” featuring K.Flay in 2015 and have shown no signs of slowing down, producing collaborations that include singles with Elohim, Icona Pop, Wafia, and more. Saxophone wielding Big Gigantic will also be headlining this year. Best known for their 2016 album “Brighter Future,” the duo proved their ability to make any genre their own through their collaborations with artists such as Waka Flocka Flame, Logic, ROZES, GRiZ, and Cherub.

The lineup extends further with performances by London’s very own trap powerhouse Troyboi, genre-bending producer Blackbear, urban artist Bryce Vine, Australian-born Wax Motif, bass-heavy electronic producers Herobust and Mersiv, and Prime Artist’s own Kid Quill and Emogee.
